Careers Information for Employers
The overwhelming majority of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are capable of sustainable, paid employment with the right preparation and support.
We welcome support from a variety of employers and are always looking to develop our links further.
We are looking to increase our range of partners and employers in order to improve our careers programme for our young people. If you are a local company and think you can contribute to our programme, please contact our Careers Lead, Dr. Rachel Brunt.
Key developments for us are:
- Providing relevant and engaging employer encounters, workplace visits and
experiences of the workplace for all students. - Increasing our employer engagement to enable all students have meaningful
interactions with employers. This may be in the form of employer engagement days, supporting curriculum learning in the classroom or celebration events. - Developing student awareness of Supported Internships and Traineeships
available in the locality alongside employers and training providers.
The Buckland Review
