Parent Led Advocacy course

Please see the following events for parents living in Yorkshire and Humber with children aged from 15 years to 25 years going through Transition.

Bringing Us Together is delighted to be able to bring you a team of trainers including those with lived experience of peer advocacy for a series of 6 special free online workshops.

These workshops are designed for Yorkshire and Humber families and parents of children going through transition.

Our workshops are welcoming, supportive and informative. Open to any parent or family member with an autistic child and/or a young person with a learning disability.

We recommend booking on all 6 workshops and if you are unable to attend any we can send you the recording.

Become a Friend of St Hugh's by joining FOSH!
Friends of St. Hughs (FOSH) is a registered Charity (Registered Charity Number: 1124652) that raise money to support the more ‘fun’ aspects of school for our young people.

Your valued support at School Fayres and other Fundraisers has enabled us to not only run After School Club, but help fund The School Prom, Excursions and more recently the Summer Fun Day.

We want to continue to contribute to our young people’s development and enjoyment, so we need your help. We are always seeking new members to support our work.

Max card

North Lincolnshire Council has introduced the Max Card to families who are registered on the Disabled Children’s Voluntary Database.

The Max Card is a discount card for families of children with additional needs and for foster families.

Families simply show their Max Card upon entry to a venue in order to obtain free or discounted admission.

The scheme is designed to help these families save money on great days out.

The Max Card is free.

Financial support, advice and guidance

Parent Forum (PIP Forum)

The PIP Forum are a voluntary group of parents of children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Their aim is to ensure that the views and concerns of members are represented and their voices heard so as to improve the lives of the children and their families they represent.

The Crosby Community Association

Crosby Community Association support members of the Community in a variety of ways. They have a Drop in Centre that sells second hand goods, including furniture, clothing and bric a brac. They also serve hot drinks and have a place for the public to come and have a friendly chat.

They support people with FREE Advice and Guidance in areas of Welfare Benefits, Housing issues and Debt. If you need advice on any of the following issues we could help.
